Having acquired such a huge block, 2 brothers decided to design a large home each, taking advantage of what a duplex can offer. The result was 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, separate living & lounge, study & upstairs rumpus rooms each, still with huge rear yards.

With such a fairly steep slope towards the street there was a considerable amount of bulk excavation & retaining walls. Piering down to shale ensured the concrete slab & full brick ground floor maximised stability, with brick veneer first floor to capitalize on thermal heating & cooling.
